We start each year with a blank slate, a wish list, and this season, with over two hundred and fifty applications submitted, we never have enough performance spots to address the many fine musicians looking to sound off. A lot of jazz, a bit of blues, funk, Caribbean, and other sounds that all meld and intertwine, leaving the listener with a sense that they’ve experienced a unique blend of sounds that defines this Festival.

Eternia returns with her first audio leak since the critically acclaimed and Juno-nominated album "AT LAST" (Fat Beats Records). Elzhi's "ONE LOVE" - arguably the deepest track on the Nas-inspired 'Elmatic' - tells the tale of a fly, ride-or-die woman that had it rough growing up, but ends up as El's one love. As Eternia explains it,

"I related so much to the person that Elzhi describes in 'One Love'. A lot of her experiences - not all, but many - mirrored my own life."

Remix Project Application Submission

The Remix Project is a youth-led urban arts organization focused on the individual, while building a strong and healthy community. They have 4 streams of programming:

Recording Arts (for the singers, rappers, poets, producers and engineers)
Creative Arts (graphic designers, fashion designers, journalists, illustrators, video/film and creative writers)
The Art of Photography (for the photographers)
The Art of Business (for the young entrepreneurs)

Each of these streams accepts 10 young people between the ages of 16–22 for a total of 40 participants per 6 month semester. These 40 work with their program leader in their chosen stream to design a 6 month curriculum around getting out their dreams.

Consisting of local lights and Canadian stand outs Frankie Payne, Tona, Theo3, Adam Bomb, Mathematik, Progress and producer Big Sproxx, The FREEDOM WRITERS have accumulated a sizzling buzz that threatens to turn inferno in the coming months.
