Flip Hop - Bridging the Gap

Rap Megacity...

What started as a New Media senior project in university became a narrative on the growing relationship between Hip Hop and Filipino-Canadian youth in Toronto. Hip Hop is a universal language, where people can freely express and articulate their dreams and frustrations. This short documentary explores the power of music being used by the youth to learn about themselves, their environment and their history. With major media outlets not providing a fair portrayal of different ethnic groups, Hip Hop can become another channel of representation.

Yo, shouts to my man Scott Ramirez, he's been telling about this being in the works for a minute. Trailer is finally out, doc coming out soon.
